AVIAREPS India

AVIAREPS –India a subsidiary company of AVIAREPS AG has appointed Neha Sodhani as sales officer for Ethiopian Airlines. Prior to joining AVIAREPS India, she has worked with Air Mauritius and holds a diploma in Travel and Tourism from Kuoni Academy.


Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh

Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh has appointed Karim Doss as director of catering. Doss will be based in Cairo.Doss has nine years experience within the hospitality industry, including assignments at Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza and Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh. He will be working closely with the sales and F&B teams to establish and develop the catering division for the resort.


Daydream Island

Renowned Chef Jason Winter has rejoined the management team at Daydream Island Resort and Spa as F&B manager. He was previously executive chef at the Whitsundays resort from 2006-2007. Prior to this, he worked as the executive manager at Queensland winery Clovely Estate Wines and Left Field Catering.

Warren McCorriston has re-joined Daydream Island Resort and Spa as resort manager. McCorriston was previously F&B manager at the Whitsundays resort from 2004 -2005. He was body corporate general manager at Q1 on the Gold Coast, and has previously worked at other Gold Coast properties.


Tahiti Tourisme NZ

Natasha Moerani Henry has been appointed the new business development executive of Tahiti Tourisme New Zealand. She is looking at using her experience as an office manager with the new role at Tahiti Tourism New Zealand.


GIBTM

The Gulf Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings Exhibition (GIBTM) has announced the appointment of Lois Jane Hall as its new exhibition manager. Hall has a wide variety of experience in managing events in the Middle East where for the past three years she has led the Dubai and KSA International Boat Shows.


Destinations of the World (DOTW)

Destinations of the World has announced the appointment of Phil Dickinson as global sales director. In his new role, based at the company's headquarters in Dubai, Dickinson will look after the overall global responsibility for continued growth of the sales business and market share in developed and emerging markets. He will also take the lead in advancing XML connectivity with large distributors of travel-related products. Reporting directly to the group managing director, he will lead the company’s global sales force and serve on the executive board.


Lufthansa Group

Dominique Friedrich, employed by The Walshe Group GSA, has been appointed to represent the Lufthansa Group Airlines Lufthansa, SWISS International, Austrian Airlines as sales manager in Western Australia. Previously representing South African Airways in WA, she has already established herself within the Western Australian travel industry. Before coming to Australia she worked with the Lufthansa Group in Johannesburg.


Adelaide Airport

Adelaide Airport (AAL) has announced the appointment of Mark Young as its managing director. Young will take up the position from November 1, 2011. Young has been AAL’s chief financial officer since 2001. Prior to joining AAL, Young was chief financial officer and company secretary with San Remo, and finance director for Macmahon Holdings.


The Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre

The Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre has appointed Stephen Wood as director of operations, overseeing the delivery of all events at the venue. Wood, who has been acting director of operations since January 2010, joined the Centre in February 2000 in the catering and event services division.


Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre and HICC

Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre and Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) has announced the appointment of Preeti Philip as director of marketing communications. In this new role with the Accor family, Philip will be responsible for the hotel’s marketing and communication department. In her last assignment, she was handling marketing for the south region at Pernod Ricard India; and has also worked for the Marriott Group from 2006 to 2009 at the Hyderabad Marriott Convention Centre as marketing communications manager.
