Carlson to re launch Park Inn brand in India

To open two Park Inn hotels by next year

In order to tap the mid-scale segment, Carlson group has planned to re launch the Park Inn brand in India. The company has announced the opening of two Park Inn hotels by next year in New Delhi. The two properties- Park Inn by Radisson New Delhi IP Extension and Park Inn Delhi CBD Shahdara will be launched in May and July in 2012. Speaking on the same, Simon Barlow, president -Asia Pacific, Carlson Hotels said, “In India branded mid-scale is the way forward and Park-Inn is a highly standardised brand with more emphasis on domestic traveller.” The target for the Park Inn brand would be both the corporates and domestic travellers.

Carlson with elaborate expansion plans in Asia Pacific and specifically India is looking forward to invest further with an aim to increase its revenue in the region. Barlow said, “India is an important market for us and we plan to invest additional funds in brand building and driving in more revenues.” Apart from this the company aims at continuing development in line with brands and geographic priorities and build organisational capabilities. The company has invested US$ two million on Radisson Blu Brand campaign.

The company is on an expansion spree and apart from five hotels slated to open this year namely-Country Inn Suites by Carlson Gurgaon, Country Inn and Suites by Carlson Saket, Radisson Blu Hotel Haridwar, Radisson Blu Hotel Ghaziabad and Park Plaza Chandigarh, 14 hotels are in pipeline expected to be operational by the year 2012.
